You have fled Ukraine because of the war and are now looking for work in Germany? Robota Germany supports you in this process. We give you access to companies that offer vacancies. All you have to do is register on this website and indicate your professional skills. Companies will then see your profile and can contact you directly (if you wish). In addition, you can also view the profiles of companies, contact companies yourself and thus attract attention to yourself.
Important information
Refugees from Ukraine can work in Germany. The prerequisite for this is registration with the relevant foreigners authority, as this also grants permission to work. In principle, it is possible to pursue any occupation, but there are some professions for which certain qualifications are required.
In principle, recognition of a professional qualification is not mandatory. However, there are professions in which recognition is required. These include, for example, doctor, teacher, educator. You can find more information on professional recognition on the recognition portal of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
In Germany, working hours may not exceed eight hours per day. Exceptions are only possible if the retrospective evaluation of half a year shows that the daily working time on working days does not exceed eight hours. In addition, there may be certain industries in which this is then stipulated by collective agreement or by approval of the occupational health and safety authority.
In Germany, the statutory minimum wage is currently 10.45 euros gross per hour. From October 1, 2022, it is to be increased to 12 euros. In some sectors, there are binding minimum wages that are higher than the general statutory minimum wage, e.g. in the care sector or building cleaning.
Medical care in Germany is based on health insurance. As a war refugee, you are initially not covered by health insurance, but you will receive a treatment certificate or an electronic health card from government agencies (e.g. social welfare office or health office), which you must present each time you visit a doctor.
Interviews with reputable employers should take place during normal business hours (around 7am to 7pm). If you and also the company can imagine working together and both have agreed on a salary and vacation days, then it is the company's responsibility to provide you with an employment contract.
