The German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Ukraine) is part of the global network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK), which has 150 offices in 93 countries. It was founded in Kyiv in 2016 and has since supported member companies in their international business activities as a key platform for bilateral economic exchange.
In Germany, the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) are closely linked to the network of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs). Together, the IHKs and AHKs support German companies in establishing and expanding their business relationships abroad.
The umbrella organization for the Chambers of Industry and Commerce is the German Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), which also coordinates and oversees the AHK network.
Close cooperation with German business associations also ensures that the AHKs maintain close ties to businesses and the market.
Pursuant to a resolution of the German Bundestag, the German-Foreign Chambers of Commerce (AHKs) receive partial funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
